What's with the use of pictures for e-mail addresses?
Humans have the wonderful capacity to be able to read. Spam-bots, however, don't. While FTS was operating a more normal-looking business website, I accumulated approximately 2MB of spam per day, some targeted to my business site, and some targeted to my normal e-mail address. This rise in spam coincided directly with the appearance of my site.
This lead to the action of replacing all instances of e-mail addresses with images containing human readable text. These pictures prevent the spread of valuable e-mail information to spam-bots, while conveying all the relavent details to the human readership, which is my true audience anyway. The only cost to you is that you have to hand-copy the e-mail address into your e-mail client of choice.
