This is the personal playground and logging area for one Samuel A. Falvo II. I am a professional software engineer with a specialization in deep-embedded/firmware development. I have worked at places like Google, Facebook, Rackspace, Western Digital/SanDisk, and Aerospike. Back in the before times, I even helped form not one, but two internet service providers, Axis Internet, followed by Armored Internet, both in the Oceanside/Carlsbad, CA area, offering dial-up access and fractional-T1 leased lines. Those were the days!

Software design languages I code in include:

• assembly language for a variety of processors, both CISC and RISC
  • RISC-V RV32 and RV64 instruction sets
  • 6502/65816
  • 680x0
  • MIPS R3000 (many years ago)
  • Z80
  • 8086, 80286, 80386, and 80486 (direct experience for both apps and systems coding)
  • Pentium and later (apps only; no system-level experience here yet)
• Forth
• C and C++ (I'm much more fluent in C though.)
• Pascal, Modula-2, and Oberon(-2)

Hardware design languages I code in include:

• Verilog
• Amaranth (A Chisel-like environment coded in Python)
